India Lock Down May 3 or May be 3 – the 2 nd Online , Varanasi Coronavirus lockdown in India:   To-do lists, schedules, forecasts, deadlines. Human beings are perpetual planners. Before the Corona virus upended our world, we rushed and ranted daily, so as not to fall behind our interminable schedules. To meet the dreaded deadlines. To stay ahead of t he curve. To ensure we moved forward in the rat race. And, then as various governments imposed lockdowns across the globe, life, as we know it, came to a halt. Most of us are locked in our homes, holed up with family members for durations longer than we are used to. Even as we transit to working or studying from home, the humdrum busy-ness that envelopes our lives has abruptly ceased. No Monday morning scrambles, no traffic snarls, no have-to-go-here, have-to-buy-that. Life suddenly is stripped to its essentials. We need to cook, clean, eat and sleep. Those who are fortunate to have the luxury of working online, continue to pl...

Save lives by staying n your couch

Save lives by sitting on your couch – Varanasi the 2 nd Online Travel If you think you don’t have a huge role to play in how the  coronavirus  outbreak plays out, think again. You have the potential to make this pandemic so much worse. That’s because the coronavirus is both  more contagious and more deadly  than the common flu. One person can easily transmit it to other people without knowing it, and those people would   then transmit it to even more people, creating a terrifying snowball effect. The good news is, just as you can easily transmit the virus to other people, you can easily  avoid  transmitting it — if you’re willing to stay home. That’s right: Simply by sitting on your couch, you can potentially save lives. Ramesh Verma,   CMD , Varanasi the 2 nd Online Travel

Stay Safe , Stay Home , Varanasi Journeys

Stay home , Be safe , the 2 nd Online Travel ,  perfect  tourism , Varanasi On March 24, Indian PM Narendra Modi ordered the world’s largest lockdown, effectively commanding one out of every six people on earth to stay home in an effort to stem the coronavirus outbreak in the country. The humongous state-run railways recorded the first suspension of services in its 167-year history, and millions of migrant day laborers walked hundreds of miles back to their villages along deserted highways.   With 5,351 infected and 160 deaths, the official toll of India’s caseload is dubiously small—the country had conducted only 128,000 tests as of Wednesday. Lockdown notwithstanding, the country could see as many as 300 million infections with 10 million of them severe, the risks compounded by population density, poor sanitary conditions and a largely decrepit health care system, according to Ramanan Laxminarayan, director of the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics and P...

तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय #9pm9Minutes, the 2 nd online Travel, Unique Tourism, Varanasi In India, almost every  household has a custom of lighting a deepam or diya twice a day — in the morning and evening. This is a part of prayer. All ceremonies, daily worship rituals, auspicious functions, religious occasions as well as  new ventures start with lightning of the lamp. Diya is essential in Hinduism because it signifies purity, goodness, good luck and power. The presence of light means the non-existence of darkness and evil forces.  It is believed that evil spirits and forces gain power and become active when there is no light. So diyas are lit  to weaken those evil forces. There is a deeper significance to the diya.  The oil in the diya symbolises the dirt in the human mind — such as greed, jealousy, hatred, lust etc — which human beings tend to nurture. The cotton in the diya is symbolic of the atma or the self or the soul. The diya presents lig...
