Happy Brihaspativar (Thursday)
Wishing you all Shubh Brihashpativar. This Thursday, we at Second Online Travel extend our heartfelt wishes to you all for a day filled with solemn reflection and spiritual contemplation. May this day serve as a reminder of the profound significance of faith, love, and selfless service in our lives. Many people have malefic Jupiter in their horoscope, which creates various obstacles and hindrances in their lives. Such people suffer on both personal and professional fronts. To appease Lord Brihaspati or Jupiter, people observe fasts on Thursdays. Fasting on Thursday gives the person the power to improve health and strengthen their financial condition. People offer prayers to Brihaspadev after reading Brihaspati Vrata Katha in the evening, which completes the fast.
Fasting on Thursday can be kept for a lifetime, but people generally wish for 7, 11, 21, 40, 48, 51, or 108 fasting times. Today, those who observe fasts get up early in the morning. After completing morning rituals, they should pray to Lord Brihaspati. Those observing fasts should not wash their heads, and men should refrain from shaving. On Thursday, it is advised to wear yellow-colored clothes and use yellow-colored sandalwood. If you are fasting, food should be consumed just once in the evening after offering prayers to Lord Brihaspati.

Some people cannot control hunger or, due to work reasons, may have simple food without salt twice a day. The fasting person should also take food offered to God. Skinless chana dal or skinless yellow split moong dal should be included in the meals. On Thursday, people should do good deeds like donating food and money to poor people according to their financial condition. People on this day do a lot of charity, which includes using yellow-colored items like yellow clothes, turmeric, salt, yellow pulses, rice, and gold.
In the evening, one should face the east direction and read or listen to the Katha to complete the fast. While offering prayers, yellow-colored items, flowers of yellow color, and yellow rice should be used. One should provide homemade sweets made of besan, turmeric, or yellow-colored sweets to Lord Brihaspati. People consider wearing yellow topaz or yellow sapphire in gold to please Lord Brihaspati. They are one of the costliest stones and should only be worn after chanting Brihaspati mantra.
